Can vertical bars be placed between the door sill and the lowest Nascar style bar without counting towards the "8" roll cage to car attachment points? Attached a picture for reference, not my car, just a similar example to illustrate the idea.

Weld a lower sill bar between the main hoop and A-pillar bar. Then weld vertical bars from the lower sill bar to your Nascar door bars. You can even weld your lower sill bar to the body. See attached picture. sill-bar.jpg
