Q.

Is there a limit to how much foam and tape can be used for zero points?


A.

Foam - Only fire rated foam may be used to seal bulkheads and areas against fluid or vapor intrusion for no point add. If used to shape or support aero or body parts it will be figured at + sq ft plastic material points.
Note : only fire rated foam should be used on a race car.
Tape - Rule states fasteners, duct tape, ect can be used to attach. Making something out of these materials is not attaching, so making something will be + sq ft plastic material points.
