Event Special Notices

ESN 1 - Facility Waivers, ChampCar Waivers & Wristbands
On both Friday and Saturday everybody attending our ChampCar event must stop at the registration trailer located before the tunnel entrance canopy upon arrival. Here is where you will sign all applicable waivers and receive the mandatory track wristband. Drivers and crew must still report to Registration in the Media Building to receive their ChampCar credentials. In addition, $20 Weekend Memberships (family members, friends, support staff who are not crew) will be sold throughout the weekend at the trailer as well
ESN 2 - Don’t Be That Guy
Testing, tuning, brake bedding, high-speed accelerations or braking will be limited to the track, and not allowed in the paddock or surrounding public roadways. Doing so could result in event expulsion with no fees returned.
ESN 3 - Flagtronics
Flagtronics FT200 units and transponders are available for rent at $50 each per event weekend. Rentals are available at Race Central / Registration. All FT200 units must be updated to the latest firmware version: v0.9.0.0. The FT200 must be powered either by a direct 12V connection or via USB using a 2-amp (or higher) adapter. Teams may bypass the main power switch and wire directly to a 12V battery source. A 5-amp inline fuse is strongly recommended.
ESN 4 - Prior W2W Racing Experience Required
This event requires all drivers to have prior wheel-to-wheel racing experience. The New to ChampCar meeting is intended for drivers and crew who have not previously participated in a ChampCar event. It provides an overview of ChampCar procedures, race operations, and expectations to ensure everyone is prepared for a safe and successful race weekend.
ESN 5 - Helmet Inspection & Annual Decal
All drivers must present their helmet for inspection at Tech prior to any on-track activity. Upon successful inspection, a ChampCar annual helmet identification decal will be issued and must be affixed to the left side of the helmet, clearly visible to pit-out personnel. Helmets without a valid current-year decal will not be permitted on track. Any driver arriving at pit-out without a decal will be directed back to their pit until inspection and compliance are completed. Helmet compliance determinations by ChampCar Officials are final.
ESN 6 - Media Restrictions Agreement
An agreement form will be signed by everyone entering the facility. This is a requirement. DAYTONA INTERNATIONAL SPEEDWAY — MEDIA RESTRICTIONS AGREEMENT (Required for all participants, crew, and guests to receive wristbands) As a condition of entry to Daytona International Speedway (“DIS”) for this Event, I agree to the following media restrictions: Prohibited Content I will not record, post, publish, stream, share, or otherwise distribute any photo, video, or image that depicts or reveals, in whole or in part: Any crash or on-track/off-track incident; Any injury or medical treatment; Any fatality; Any track, barrier, wall, fence, SAFER system, or facility damage (including cleanup, repair, or recovery operations). Consent Requirement If I wish to use or distribute any media captured at DIS that could reasonably relate to an incident, injury, fatality, or facility damage, I will obtain prior written consent from Daytona International Speedway before any use or disclosure, including social media, streaming platforms, news outlets, or private groups. On-Board / In-Car Cameras (GoPro or similar) Any on-board/in-car camera use is permitted only on the condition that I do not post or share footage that shows or references crashes, injuries, fatalities, or track/facility damage without prior written consent from DIS. I will remove or provide such footage to DIS upon request. Team Responsibility I am responsible for ensuring that my team members, drivers, crew, guests, and anyone using my equipment comply with these restrictions. Enforcement I understand that violations may result in removal from the facility, revocation of credentials/wristbands, disqualification, and/or legal action by DIS and/or the Event Organizer. DIS may require me to delete or surrender restricted media. You will need to sign the form at registration before you receive your event credentials (wristbands)
ESN 7 - Golf Carts and Tugs
Daytona has requested that golf carts not be used at our event, and we will respect that decision. If you need to move fuel or supplies, please use a steel utility cart or another suitable method to transport items on and off pit road. ChampCar will provide golf cart transportation for anyone who needs assistance due to illness, injury, or the like. To request a ride, call or text (434) 363-8166 while at the track to arrange pickup and drop-off. Please share this number with any friends or family attending who may benefit from assistance.

At the track the Tech staff will simply check the required safety items on the car. Once the Tech staff clicks save on the safety portion of your online form, you will get your annual tech sticker and head to ChampCar registration.
