The rules do not currently specify a a tolerance on how "vertical" the air dam must be. Other series (e.g. NASA, SCCA) put this at 5%.

Is this currently defined for ChampCar?


A.
There is no definition on angle. However if you have a scoop type i.e. angled air damn you will get points for both horizontal and vertical at 20 points.
