I removed the smog pump and then had to make a new upper mount for the stock alternator. I used some steel, one long bolt ad then a left handed adjuster (not a heim joint). I used the left handed adjuster only so I didn't have to use a prybar to adjust the alternator. There is less than 6 square inches of materials used. Is this points? Thanks for the help!

As long as you are using the OE alternator and pulley, there is no points for the bracket and adjuster.
