2023-02-24 - Auto Transmission Paddle Shifters

Q.
If swapping an automatic (fluid coupled) transmission from a vehicle on the VPI list that originally included paddle shift, can the paddle shift be carried over to the new car for zero points?

A.
No conversion to paddle shifters, but if it is a fluid coupled transmission that can be shifted with paddle shifters (or buttons, or slap shifting), then you are maintaining functionality and just moving the shifter not converting, so allowed at no point add.

For example, an auto with the slap shifter option could relocate the shift buttons to paddles behind the wheel. (If doing so, Please round off the corners and think about hand safety in your repositioning plan.)
