2021-01-03 - C4 Corvette Roll Cage

I am building an 89 Corvette I plan to race in ChampCar Endurance Series. As I am designing the roll cage I can see that due to the configuration of the car I don't think I can do a traditional main hoop, since the floor comes up directly behind the driver seat.

Question is can I attach the door bars to the floor behind the driver seat as shown in the attached picture? And if so is this the preferred method for a C4 Corvette cage to be designed?
C4 door bar example

Looks good.
Base plate needs to be bigger to center the door bars on the plate. Definitely prefer the single bend door bars vs. the reverse bend.
