ChampCar is North America's home for real, affordable, competitive endurance road racing. We host 7 to 24 hour events at legendary tracks where everyday drivers and teams race real cars, wheel to wheel.

What is ChampCar?

The ChampCar Endurance Series is a member driven, 501(c)(7) non profit motorsports organization. Our mission is simple: deliver maximum seat time and competitive endurance racing with straightforward rules, fair tech, and an inclusive community.

Whether you build your own car or join an arrive and drive team, ChampCar offers the clearest path to real road racing without huge budgets.

How our events work

  • Endurance formats: Typically 7 hour, 8+7, 10 hour, 12 hour, 14 hour, and 24 hour events.
  • World class venues: Daytona, Watkins Glen, Road America, Laguna Seca, Sebring, CTMP, and more.
  • Team based racing: Multi driver stints with live timing, race control, and on site staff.
  • Transparent rules: The BCCR outlines car points, safety, classes, and penalties.

Who can race?

Anyone 16+ with a valid driver's license (minors require additional approvals) and an active ChampCar membership.

  • New to racing? Join an arrive and drive team.
  • Experienced? Build, prep, and enter your own car.

What cars are eligible?

Production based cars classed by performance points in the BCCR.

  • Classes: A, B, C, D, F, EC
  • Balanced competition via points and penalties
  • OEM based builds with defined upgrades

Safety and fairness

Safety gear, cage, seats, harnesses, and fire systems per BCCR. Cars are tech inspected, penalties are transparent.

About our organization

ChampCar Endurance Series is organized exclusively for pleasure, recreation, and other non profitable purposes within the meaning of Internal Revenue Code section 501(c)(7). Substantially all activities are for those purposes, and no part of the net earnings inures to the benefit of any private shareholder.
