ChampCar iRacing Series, Round 7 - Virginia International Raceway

The ChampCar iRacing Series returns Wednesday, July 15, for Round 7 of the 2026 championship at Virginia International Raceway.

Drivers will take on VIR’s challenging Full Course in the Toyota GR86. The combination of fast straightaways, technical corners, elevation changes, and limited passing opportunities should produce close racing from the opening lap to the checkered flag.

The race will be broadcast live on ChampCar.Live, with cameras provided by SimSpeed. The session opens at 7:30 p.m. ET, qualifying begins at 9:10 p.m., and the green flag flies at 9:30 p.m.

Real ChampCar Competition Online

The ChampCar iRacing Series is the official online racing series of the ChampCar Endurance Series, North America’s home for real, affordable, competitive road racing.

The series brings ChampCar members, racers, and sim racing competitors together for a season of sprint races and team enduros. Championship sprint races use fuel-limited fixed setups, keeping the focus on driver skill, racecraft, consistency, and strategy.

Round 7 at VIR is part of the 12-race regular-season Sprint Championship. Drivers compete for championship honors and real ChampCar prizes, including Champbucks that can be used toward entry in a real-world ChampCar Endurance Series event.

The ChampCar iRacing Series is free to enter, and no separate application is required. Drivers can join through iRacing Leagues by searching for the ChampCar iRacing Series, League #2580.

Championship rounds require a minimum iRacing D 2.0 license. Drivers are expected to race hard, race clean, and respect the competitors around them.
