Event special notices
  • ESN 1: Teams may add up to 10% antifreeze to their radiators for this event.
  • ESN 2: Testing, tuning, brake bedding, high-speed accelerations or braking is limited to the track, and not allowed in the paddock or surrounding public roadways. Doing so could result in event expulsion with no fees returned.
  • ESN 3: Flagtronics FT200 and transponders are available for rent at $50 each per event weekend. Available at Race Central/Registration.
  • ESN 4: All Flagtronics FT200 updates for team owned units are the responsibility of the team. Latest update is FW 0.9.0.0. Use Device Manager to update.

Radio frequencies
The ChampCar radio frequencies are reserved for ChampCar official use only and must not be used by the track or teams during the event. Monitor the race logs.

Key rules, policies, and reminders

Safety and stint rules
  • All vehicles, drivers, and crew must meet the safety and equipment requirements of the 2026 BCCR.
  • Stint maximum is 2 hours per driver, with a minimum of 1 hour between stints.
  • All fueling is to be completed on pitlane on race day.
  • Code35 is in use at all ChampCar events.
Pitlane and sound
  • Pitlane speed is 20 mph at all times (including test and tune).
  • Sound readings may occur throughout the weekend. Mufflers required, 96 dBa at 50 ft maximum.
  • Pitlane electric: none. Heaters on pit lane are not allowed.
  • Pit lane has very limited lighting, bring alternate power and lighting sources.
Online tech form process
All teams must complete the Online Tech Form. Team captains log in to the registration portal and use the “Submit a Tech Form” tab (available about three months before the race) to fill out the electronic form. At the track, tech will verify required safety items. Once saved by tech, you receive your annual tech sticker and proceed to registration.
Verify timing and scoring transponder and Flagtronics FT200 serial numbers, and ensure your car class is added to the tech form.

  • Limited rentals may be available, preference to teams requesting online.
  • Rental fee is $50 for the event.
  • Mount and GPS placement must be within rules, unit must be working.

No paddock testing or aggressive driving

Alcohol policy
No alcohol in the paddock during the day’s racing events. Alcohol is permitted 30 minutes after completion of on-track activity for the day.

Venue rules and logistics

Passes and access
  • All people who go over the pit wall must be full ChampCar Club Members.
  • Guests may purchase a weekend membership at the front gate for $20, includes paddock and cold pit lane access.
  • 16 and under are free with parent or guardian.
  • No children under 18 allowed on pit road.
  • Minors (drivers and crew) must complete ChampCar and venue minor waivers, contact reg@champcar.org.
Camping and BBQ
  • Self-contained RV camping allowed Thursday, Friday, and Saturday night. Must be out by 11:00am Sunday.
  • No hookups, and only one or two power pole hookups. Bring a generator.
  • BBQs allowed in camping area only, supervised, extinguisher within 15 feet, open flames at least 20 feet from race cars, fuel storage, or flammables.
Pavement, spills, and waste
  • Do not drive stakes into the pavement.
  • Use wood blocks or metal plates under jacks and stands to prevent damage.
  • Do not spill oil, coolant, or fuel on pavement or ground.
  • Waste oil and coolant receptacles are in the tech shed.
  • Remove used tires, fuel, brake fluid, solvents, hazardous waste products, and batteries.
  • If an accidental spill occurs, contact a ChampCar official immediately.
General restrictions
  • Drones are prohibited at ChampCar Endurance events at all times.
  • Strict 5 mph speed limit for personal ATVs, bicycles, mopeds, or personal transportation devices.
  • No glass containers allowed on property.
  • Skateboards, passenger-carrying wagons, and skates are prohibited in paddock, pit, and grid areas.
  • Only licensed operators may drive vehicles on property.
  • Road Atlanta policies supersede rules listed here if conflicts arise.
Clothing
Closed-toe shoes and long pants are required on pitlane and over the wall. Long pants are recommended on the cold side of pit lane.

Track damage fees

An invoice will be sent to the team captain. Payment plans can be arranged if needed. Unpaid track damage invoices may result in a membership hold until paid. ChampCar adds a 4% processing fee if paid with debit or credit card. Subject to change.

Facility map and key locations

Tech shed and registration are key hubs. Keep the area around the tech shed clear Thursday and Friday for tech inspections. Tech your race car first. After passing, proceed to the registration building to complete registration.
