Event Notices
Testing, tuning, brake bedding, high-speed accelerations or braking will be limited to the track, and not allowed in the paddock or surrounding public roadways. Doing so could result in event expulsion with no fees returned.
Engine Noise Restrictions: All teams must strictly comply with Lime Rock Park’s noise regulations. Race or unmuffled engines may not be started prior to 9:00 a.m., and on race weekend Fridays, not before 10:00 a.m. Any team starting a race or unmuffled engine before the permitted time may be subject to immediate removal from the event. At all times, vehicles must remain within Lime Rock Park’s established decibel limits. Failure to comply may result in penalties up to and including expulsion.
Flagtronics FT200 and Transponders are available for rent at $50 each per event weekend. Available at Race Central/Registration.
All fueling is to be completed on pitlane race day.
Alcohol: Absolutely no alcohol may be consumed in the Paddock during the day’s racing events. Alcohol may be consumed 30 minutes following the completion of on-track activity for the day until 10:00 p.m. Lime Rock has the right to suspend driving privileges for any driver found to be out of compliance.
Sound: Sound readings will take place throughout the weekend. All ChampCars are required to have mufflers, and not exceed 96dBa at 50ft.
Conduct: Lime Rock shall have the right, at any time, in its sole discretion, to refuse admission to or eject from Lime Rock Park or from any facility in Lime Rock Park any person for conduct which may be unsafe, discourteous, verbally, or physically abusive, influenced by alcohol, drugs, or controlled substances, or may otherwise diminish the safety, health, or enjoyment of others on the premises.
Quiet Time: Quiet time on Lime Rock Park grounds is between 10 p.m. and 7 a.m. Race/Unmuffled engines may not be started prior to 9:00 a.m. The starting of race/Unmuffled engines prior to 9:00 a.m. is expressly forbidden and violators may be subject to immediate removal from the EVENT. At no time may engine noise be in violation of Lime Rock’s dB limits. Note: On race weekend Fridays, unmuffled engines cannot be started before 10:00 a.m.
Truck Crossing: Lime Rock Park reserves the right to halt Track and Proving Ground Operations to facilitate truck crossings in order for Lime Rock Park to continue its daily operations. Lime Rock Park will make every effort to limit the crossings to 10:00am and 2:00pm when possible. In accordance with Connecticut state regulations, Lime Rock retains the right to halt on-track activities at any point during the period specified in the rental contract.

Vehicle Washing: Due to Connecticut law and DEP regulations, no car washing is permitted anywhere at Lime Rock Park unless and until a dedicated car washing facility is installed and available for public use. However, washing of tractor trailers and other vehicles by a DEP-compliant vendor with suitable waste water recovery equipment is permitted.

Welcome to Lime Rock Park, one of the most historic and picturesque road courses in North America. Tucked into the hills of northwest Connecticut, Lime Rock delivers classic road racing in a beautiful New England setting. The surrounding area offers charming small towns, great local food, and scenic roads, but larger supply runs may require a bit of planning.

- Closest Towns: Lakeville, Salisbury, Canaan, and Great Barrington, Massachusetts
- Fuel & Supplies: Basic fuel, grocery stores, pharmacies, and convenience items are available nearby, with larger shopping options a bit farther out.
- Auto Parts: Auto parts stores are available in surrounding communities, but this is not a major metro area, so plan ahead for specialty race needs.
- Food: Northwest Connecticut offers excellent local restaurants, diners, coffee shops, pizza, and New England favorites. Great Barrington is a popular spot for teams looking for dinner off property.
- Hotels: Lodging includes inns, hotels, short-term rentals, and small local properties throughout the surrounding area. Book early, especially during peak summer weekends.
- Airport Access: Bradley International (BDL), Albany (ALB), Westchester County (HPN), and Hartford-area travel options are commonly used.
- Entertainment: Scenic drives, small-town shopping, hiking, local restaurants, and classic New England countryside make Lime Rock a great destination weekend.
- Weather Tip: New England weather can shift quickly. Cool mornings, warm afternoons, humidity, and sudden showers are all part of the experience.
Local Note: Lime Rock feels different from almost every other track on the schedule. Beautiful setting, rich history, and a race weekend that feels more like an old-school motorsports getaway than a stadium event. Also, yes, the hills are real.
