Adding Your In-Car Camera to ChampCar.Live
We’d love to feature your in-car camera feed on ChampCar.Live! If you're live-streaming to YouTube or Facebook (non-commercial accounts only—no ads or licensed music), fill out the form below. Our broadcast team will review your feed and include it when possible.
Important Notes:
- Technical issues or bandwidth limitations may prevent us from using your feed.
- We can only support a limited number of cameras due to our network constraints.
- Add a nameplate in your car so we know which driver to highlight (or poke fun at when they go off track!).
Troubleshooting Your Stream
- Lower your resolution – 480p works best for most tracks. What works on Friday may not work on race day due to increased network usage.
- Position your hotspot correctly – Keep it near the seatbelt bar, not buried in the car. Avoid mounting it on the dash to prevent overheating.
- Check your power setup:
- Use vehicle 12V power with a USB adapter instead of relying on batteries.
- Some hotspots overheat while charging, so fully charge them beforehand and run on battery when possible.
- Watch your data usage – Many “unlimited” plans slow down after 10GB–20GB, making your stream choppy. This often happens near the end of long races.
🚫 No Twitch feeds – Twitch ads violate YouTube’s terms of service.
If your event location isn’t listed on our calendar, don’t worry! We’ll still consider your feed.
Thanks for helping make ChampCar.Live even better!
